Hi! This is Cheryl Charming. If you scrolled down this far then you get to read about the deeper facts and personal interests of me.

Ethnicity
Greeks think I'm Greek, Latins think I'm Latin, and Italians think I'm Italian. I'm told that I am Native American, French, English, and Irish. Many people are fascinated with heritage, ethnics, and genealogy. I have no interest in this. We are humans. Probably has something to do with my beliefs below.

Birth
Born in Los Angeles and lived in the Azusa/West Covina area until I was 5 years old. Raised in Little Rock, Arkansas. I'm the oldest of 4 children (Cheryl, Carolyn, Charlie, and Pete). My mom, Barbara (Babs) was born in Spokane, WA. She was 15 when she met my dad and 19 when she had me. My dad, Gordon was born in Little Rock, AR and was 24 when I was born. ODD FAMILY FACT: My mom's mom (grandmother) was married like 6 times, but in her 40s she married a man 20 years her junior. They stayed together for 40 years.

Childhood
I never remember wanting for anything. My closet was always full of clothes and shoes and we always had a swimming pool, but we always lived way (way) out in the country. Seriously, it was way in the country. My parents built 2 houses and sold them in order to build one big house. It was octagon shaped and nicknamed "the round house.". My dad still lives there today. My dad was a mechanic and owned a scrap yard. I called it a junk yard or graveyard for cars. Him and my mom also owned Gulf and Exxon gas stations. I was creative and artsy, high school homecoming maid, and worked after school as a pizza waitress. My first car was a 1974 silver 4 speed Chevy Camaro with red leather bucket seats. The most popular car at the time was the Pontiac Trans Am fom the movie Smokey and the Bandit. I played softball from age 6-20. I was good. I played shortstop and 3rd base. I was the 4th batter so I could hit a homerun and score 4 points. Yes!

IWhat did I want to be when I grew up, you ask? I wanted to make films. I was the one who ran around with the 8mm camera and had the first (bulky) video camera in 1978. One VHS tape back then was $25! I loved editing tapes with sound and effects. I told my dad at graduation that I wanted to go to film school in Los Angeles and he said, "That's stupid, you need to learn a trade like... upholstery." So it's always been a joke in my family that I could've always been an a upholster.

Beliefs
First, I know that this can be a sensitive subject for some. Just try to be open-minded and know that my beliefs are based on "my" experiences just as yours are as well.

I grew up Missionary Baptist. We went to church on Sunday, Sunday night, and Wednesday night. I also attended a christian school in the 9 & 10 grades. The whole thing never felt hmmmm...right for me. I was confused by so many things especially the hell and eternal damnation part. Today I believe organized religion was designed to control the masses. The fear, guilt, and self denial that they push makes no sense to me. If you study theology, you'll discover that there are about 10,000 religions in the world. Of course there is a top 10 list, but what confuses me is that each one insists their religion the "THE" religion and their divine book of revelation is "THE" book. These current beliefs systems have resulted in horrible killings, hate, devastation, cruelty, sadness, and conflict for a very long time. Religion and spirituality are 2 different things. Religion is a business. Why would a god punish and destroy you if you don't follow certain laws? I believe there is not a piece of real estate in the sky called heaven and one below called hell. The kingdom of heaven is inside you. All the teachings from all the gods say this...however these writings have been intercepted and twisted by men that desired control, which makes no book 100% "holy". Of course there is so much more I can comment on here, but this is my general feeling and belief.

I had an out-of-body experience when I was 5 years old and I've never forgotten that feeling. I've told very few about it. Since them I have had a fascination with out-of-body experiences. From my 5 year old experience I knew there was a deeper truth for me. Tending behind my first bar, I was introduced to books by Carlos Castaneda. These books initiated my hunger and thirst for knowledge and set me on a spiritual journey. Wow, I have so many things to tell, but my fav inspirations have been Seth, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Louise L. Hay, Ramtha, Abraham Hicks, Michael J. Roads, Richard Bach, Conversations with God, books on quantum physics, books on ancient knowledge, and many more. The number one thing I've discovered is that all roads lead back to me and through my thoughts, intentions, and exspectations I create my reality. I believe in reincarnation. I believe in love. All things are one thing and all things are part of the one thing. Is that one thing god? life? call it what you will. We are all god and manifestations of god. Me and god are one.

Lanquages
I speak, read and write English. I also know deaf sign language.

Features
I had natural dark red (auburn) hair my whole life until a few years ago. Got it from my dad and he got it from his mother, Ruby. It's been turning darker lately (guess that's better than gray!) so, I've been having it colored auburn, But I think starting in 2010 I'm going natural black (my fav hair color). My mom had black hair with a widow's peak and I always wanted that. My dad had a widow's peak too. Where's my widow's peak? My eyes are brown. My body is 5' 5",curvy and has gone up and down in weight since high school. My goal by 2010 is to be at my high school weight because I want to pose for a 50s pin-up calendar. My favorite female body shapes are like Sophia Loren and Rachael Welch's. My skin tans easily and I have freckles. After a few drinks a slight southern accent can be detected in my voice. My shoe size is 7.

Status
I'm single without children. I never really wanted children. Not that I don't like them because I think they are incredible beings! I actually LOVE being around them, but they are work, they are expensive and there are enough children in the world already. If I was financially secure then I probably would have adopted. As for the not married part...uhhhhh...well, I guess I could have gotten married many times if I wanted, but what can I say? I've met thousands of men I don't feel a connection with and I don't want to just marry anyone. Same ole' story...they are married, or gay, or they don't like me, or I don't like them. Maybe one day. Where is he?

If I had a personal ad on an online dating site it would probably say
When not performing on Broadway, lingerie modeling, or turning down marriage proposals from attractive millionaries, I attend support group meetings for compulsive liars. Seriously though, I have one of those oUt-oF-tHe-boX minds and smell like a cinnamon roll. Friends say I'm funny, smart, & unique and can't figure out why some guy hasn't snatched me up • • I get along with all people and am comfortable in many situations • • baggage-free; no children, ex-husbands or in-laws in the picture • • I feel secure, happy, & whOle with myself • •••••• MY MAN is a positive thinker • • light-hearted • • sees the funny parts of life • • loves life •• confident • • kind • • likes to take me traveling • • has goals and passions •• keeps his looks updated • • manages his finances well • • is creative and/or appreciates creativity • • respects nature • • respects himself • • a magnet for all that is good • • spiritual, not religious • • PHYSICALLY here's the deal, if I'm not physically attracted to you then it's just not gonna happen. •••••••• In MY PERFECT WORLD you are health-conscious with a white smile and a twinkle in your eye ••••••BONUS POINTS IF YOU ARE: creative • • a handyman/carpenter • • clean shaven • • interested in living in a modern home with alternative energy on the beach facing West••• leans towards green living • • likes to dance with me •• understands the BIG picture • • has black hair with a widows peak •• surprises me with a sunset balloon ride, a hike to a magnificent waterfall, weekend-getaway train trip, midnight sail with moonbeams glistening on the water, or indoor picnic during a succulent storm with every window open• • oh, and you adore me and wonder where I have been all your life.

Other things about me
I like chai tea, have a gypsy soul, love Asian summer rolls with hoisen and chili sauce, Mexican food, Apple, napping naked between vellux blankets, crushed ice, vanilla over chocolate, nature, travel, modern architecture, ancient architecture, waking alarm-free, 50s pin-ups, tiki culture, road trips, convertibles, street/close-up magic, crisp white shirts, softball, tennis, indoor old school roller skating, live performance, scrabble...I'm not a shopper/pack rat. I love minimalism. I have traveled across the USA 7 times. I lived in commume of people for a year once. That was an experience. I also lived and traveled in a 19" RV for 2 years. It taught me that we need very little for our journey. I also spent one year traveling and staying with cruise ship passengers that I met while working as a bartender on a cruise ship. I can cook a meal on the manifold of a car, I can change my own oil and lube it. I'm the girl at camp without the hairdryer. Nature slays me. I'm fine with sleeping in a tent, yurt, or cabin on a cold mountain, but also like to be decadent and splurge on a hotel and attend a fancy party. I tend to gravitate towards spontaneity more than daily routines--I'm not a 9-5 person. I like my hair played with, roller coasters, sky diving, white chocolate, technology, and resourcefulness.

A weird thing I like is walking into restaurant freezer and taking 10 slow breaths. I love the smell and icy coldness of the freezer for that short time. When I was a child I use to lift up my parents freezer and stick my head inside and breathe then scrap a handful of crush ice with my hands and eat it. I love crushed ice. Oh, I already said that above.

What I really want to do
I really want to find a great partner, travel, be financially free, and have a beach house facing west. Health, Wealth, and Happiness. Isn't that what we all want?
